    Trombone Kamal Evolves
    From: Greg Rudzinski
    Date: 2009 Jun 7, 10:41 -0700

The Trombone Kamal prototype has gotten an up-grade of a mirror. The mirror is
glued over the horizon reference line using silicone adhesive. If the
navigator places the reflection of his eye in the mirror then perpendicularty
and consistency is preserved. The next thing to do is for the navigator to
calibrate his baseline to include the distance from the front of the eye to
the center of the eye. For me this distance is 0.4 inches. Frank correctly
spotted a discrepancy through data analysis and suggested calibration. George
correctly identified the cause of a baseline short fall by analyzing the
physiology of eye movement and the associated light paths. Excellent
observations by both Frank and George.
