The original message from Norm was entitled "Troughton and Simms" and was posted in early January of this year. There were some replies under that subject title (including one from me and one from you, too!). After that someone (Bill Morris?) changed the subject slightly by adding the word "sextant". Nothing wrong with that, but that appears to be why you couldn't find the original message.
