George, not to worry, there's no alternate universe here. We're not having
lots of fascinating conversations about navigation without you! It's an
EXPERIMENTAL list. Remember when I described it that way in the very first e-mail
about it?? At that time, Navigation-L was crashed, dead as a doornail,
completely unable to distribute messages, so it seemed like a good idea to
    experiment, at the very least.

I and the others who have been experimenting with NavList on google have
intentionally been trying (in my case at least) to keep posts rather trivial on
that list in order to avoid a de facto schism. I (and I'm sure the other
folks, too) have no desire to create another community. This isn't about busting
up a list. It's simply the technical matter of trying a new server
arrangement. In case you're curious, so far everything works beautifully. We've even
got message numbers in the subject line (a feature you mentioned as desirable).
I'm trying to get us up to 100 so that it's a fair experiment.

Navigation-L, as presently hosted on webkahuna fails to deliver 1 or 2% of
messages. That's not very good. On April 19, you sent a message to this list
that begins, "Just in case it's of interest, here's what Eva Taylor has to say
about David Thomson" etc. I received it in my e-mail, but this message never
made it to the list archives on i-DEADLINK-com. Who knows how many other
recipients didn't get it... Doesn't it bother you that your messages are failing to
    distribute completely?

    Finally:
It is time for me to say this: your continuing comments about my "character"
are inappropriate, to say the least, on this list or anywhere --and you know
    that. You KNOW that.
