Also we commonly credit scientists for recognizing truth even absent absolute confirmation - eg Galileo stating heavy and light objects fall off the Tower of Pisa at the same rate.
Now we know that the Sun-Earth center of mass frame of presents a simpler picture than either geo or solar centric and that there is no defineable frame of reference that is the truth as sun is not stationary nor is our galaxy or ....
