Google images shows the US Navy using the MK 3 M.Low, Cassens & Plath, and Astra lllB.

I own a M.Low U.S. Navy MK 3 and it is a clone of a C. Plath and can share all parts. The handle is ergonomic and requires the sextant legs to be extra long. The micrometer is extremely smooth through the arc. Not any more accurate than my Tamaya or Cassens & Plath but is a pleasure to hold when making observations.
