I absolutely agree with you, Jorge. My earlier reply was about large-ship navigation and navigational systems.
As I recollect, even the Team Vestas crash was NOT a result of their relying on electronic charts, but misuse of them. They had their chart unit zoomed out so far that small details -- including the reef they struck -- were not shown. Any difference between that and the detail often missing from small-scale paper charts??
