That is exactly NOT what I'm looking for. I'm after as plain a source of CN information as it could possibly be. No over-bloated fancy graphics, nothing.
Eric's python program looks really promising (for me), because it frees from all the irrelevant stuff like shown in the first ~15 minutes of the video (pointing the sextant, fighting with the bubble by a mouse, etc). All I need is just a number - be it an HO or an HS - an altitude of a selected body, I'll clear it myself and plot on a paper - not on a google-earth (which I do not have). The simulator's engine should just move the point from where it tells me the altitudes, and I'll just tell the engine how to change the movement direction. That's all I want/need so far. The only missing thing there is the driftmeter capability.
