This morning I was using the USNO site to re-check my calcs on 4 sun sights I took on Labor day morning. I noticed a problem with the UT time input vs time used for the "Celestial Navigation Data for Assumed Position and Time". One of the sights had GMT/UT time of 12:17:04. I input that value on the form but on the output the time shows UT 12:17:40 and the calcs are for 12:17:40. Any value I input for seconds between 1 and 9 appears to be multiplied by 10 and used in the time for the calcs on the output page.
Anyone else noticed this?
I also noticed a small glitch on the AP latitude and longitude input on the same form. In the example it indicates 4 decimal digits for input: "For example: 38.9072, -77.0369". However any values with 4 decimals are flagged as invalid when you hit the GET DATA button. Even those it supplies with the DMS conversion option. It currently only allows 3 decimals as valid for AP lat/long.
