News report shows a photo at 1730 UTC after the collision. Marine Traffic has ACX Crystal 16kts 068 at 1630UTC  about 10 miles SE of Shimoda then turns 90 degrees to starboard. After about 5 miles turns round and goes back to position of collision and stays around that area for about an hour.

A couple of images showing the damage to USS Fitzgerald. The vessel presumably rolled over hard at the moment of impact. In addition to the massive damage visible in these images, there must also be a gaping opening below the waterline.
