My daughter recently sent me a photo a a plaque on the wall the U505 exhibit. It included her grandfathers name. I have the compass/divider navigation set he used on a DE that was in on the capture. His DE was tasked to carry some of the captured material to the US. He said they sprinted so fast for so long, that after they tied up, the hot shaft took a permanent set.
