    And you're correct, of course. Red's point,  that the people who communicate
    with the public work in statute miles and  statute miles per hour, is fairly
    obvious. Of course you use the most common  units when communicating with the
    public-- and I don't think it addresses the  point you made. Modern aviation
    still uses nautical miles on a regular basis to  get from point A to point B.
    And after all, this list's focus is not flight  attendant communication skills;
    its focus is the technical art of getting from  point A to point B.
