I guess "airline industry" is the question here. I don't mean Boeing and
whoever else still builds them, I mean the folks who OPERATE AIRLINES. I doubt
most of them have ever been inside a cockpit, and I know several of them can't
even tell you where their airplanes are, on the ground or in the air. Those
folks--the ones who sell you tickets and take your money--don't speak knots any
more.
The pilots? Well, aren't they encouraged to stay behind locked doors these days
anyway? (sigh) They're just the hired help, not the industry any more.
