Re: Universal Plotting Sheet and Weir diagram

    Dear All,

I am attaching the new version of the Weir diagram.

    A4, simple versions:

    • weir-diagram-north-latitudes.pdf
    • weir-diagram-south-latitudes.pdf

A3 version based on Admiralty 5000, with instructions and examples:

    • Weir-Diagram-Latitudes-60S-60N-A3paper.pdf

It includes 54 of the 57 navigation stars (the declinations of Atria, Kochab, and Miaplacidus do not fit within the diagram).
If there are any errors, please let me know.

The instructions are from Bennett’s book.
I designed it for A3 paper, but in theory it can be printed in any size. The key is that the azimuth (semi)circle should be circular after printing. I tried it on A4 size; the text is a bit small, but it’s usable.

You can fold it along the | marks.

    Happy testing!

    Best regards,
    Bela
