Robert,
The Navy MK 5 bubble octant is an ugly duckling for sure but works great and has excellent optics. Works with natural horizon or bubble horizon. A draw back is that the micrometer reads to only 2' precison. John Letcher used this model with no issues on his Atlantic crossings. I sure like mine. $200 is a fair price if in very good condition. $100 will get a good one on Ebay.
