I agree, if you could spell out exactly what it is you're trying to do. Excel or Calc will usually give an error at any kind of circular reference in a spreadsheet. You might need to get grips with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) or OpenOffice Basic to accomplish the task. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Learn-OpenOffice-Org-Spreadsheet-Macro-Programming/dp/1847190979/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1232168573&sr=8-1 or http://booklaptop.com/book.php?id=4571&by=Office&ord=id Rgds, Martin 2009/1/17: > > The problem, George, is that there are in fact a great many of these books available. Maybe you could spell out what it is you're trying to do? There might be a simple solution, and it is apparent that there are plenty of people on NavList who can help. > > -FER > > > > > > --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Navigation List archive: www.fer3.com/arc To post, email NavList@fer3.com To , email NavList-@fer3.com -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
