If the artificial horizon is on the ground, then usually you will have to
sit in order to see the sun's reflection. If you want to stand, then put
the artificial horizon on a table. Start without the sextant and find the
sun's reflection. Then when you know where you need to be positioned, get
your sextant and take your readings.
