Ha ha ha. :) Yeah, a fairly small number! At some point in time, the sidereal rate was (or will be) the number that you had memorized, differing by about 200 milliseconds from its current value. In what year was it correct? Perhaps you have been in communication with a time traveler... :)
Imagine if you had been keeping time for those fifty years with a clock that was wrong by 0.2 seconds per day. By now your sidereal clock would be off by an hour.
