I found the NIMA website very interesting. The thing is: they have made the
whole great circle program in client-side java-script and commented the code
very well. This means that you can:
- make your own program using their algorythms
- save the webpage and use it stand alone on your on-board computer without
the need for an internet connection

Of what use are on-line navigation calculators for if you are at sea and
wish to do 'real' navigation? Thy are great for practice, i suppose, but not
may of us have i-net connections while at sea.
