" Just bear in mind that those phase fudges make sense only if Venus is unresolved, which would be the case if you're using a low magnification telescope on your telescope. But when shooting lunars, you would always prefer higher magnification, and in that case Venus can be resolved, and easily, as a tiny crescent when it's near inferior conjunction.
