Venus and Jupiter will come close in the evening sky in a couple of days. Their minimum geocentric separation will happen on Aug 27th, 2016 by 22h32m30,8s TT and it will be close to 240", i.e. 4 arc minutes.
Paul H. you can certainly predict this event with much more accuracy, using the TT Time scale since everybody here agrees on that one. Thanks in advance.
