If you're in North America and your skies are clear, step outside and find the slim crescent Moon. It's not easy but if you know where to look, it's visible "naked eye".
Then switch to binoculars, and there's Venus to the lower left. It will be eclipsed (occulted) by the dark limb of the Moon (not visible!) in about two hours. Then an hour and a quarter later, it pops back out on the bright limb.
