I followed your earlier directions for setup but WOW. THERE IT IS ALREADY!! If you can spot that faint thin Moon it's EASY in binoculars. Next I'll try for a daytime Venus sextant sight since it's so easy to find it today. I agree with what you said in class once. Yes we get the Moon in daylight more often but a Venus sight is much easier to work up.
I'm looking forward to watching the occultation in a couple of hours. Some fair-weather cumulus right now.
