That was just amazing! After it emerged from behind the Moon, Venus was a glowing PEARL on the dark ring of the Moon (pircture a pure white pearl resting on a half ring of tarnished silver). After it separated a few minutes of arc from the Moon, it was so easy to see Venus direct by eye. SO AMAZING. Thank you, Frank Reed, for all the reminders.
