Hi to the team at NavList,
After corresponding with Greg Rudzinski regarding shooting Venus by day using a Whole Horizon Mirror, I followed his tip of using a horizon shade to cut down the glare. Here is the data from the shot.
GMT = 24d 01h 57m 56 sec
Hs = 70°49'.0"
Known Position = 36°47'.0" South 174°46'.6" East
Height of Eye = 6'4"
I.C. -2.0
GMT Date = 24/11/2016 Temp 20.4 ° c Pres = 1017 hPa
I use HO :229 and the 2016 Nautical Almanac for a long hand result and Star Pilot gave me 0.3 towards 057°.5' T
Kind Regards, Paul w Jackson.
