I am shooting Venus during the day, every day, down under at present. We have blue skies in New Zealand, and on 16 Oct 2021 UTC, I got a satisfactory 0.4 intercept on Venus with a cross with the Moon. Shot from 36deg 48.1 South and 174deg 47.6 East, Eye 122 feet(Index error nill)

Venus Data 16 days 02 hours 45 mins 14 seconds. Hs: Venus 77deg 09.8 mins.

Moon Upper Limb 16 Days 03 hours 01 min 41 seconds Hs: 9 deg 47.2 mins. Shot onto the land horizon of APUAPU BAY about 18 nautical miles distant.

GPS AntiSpoof software is useful for fine-tuning eye height, bearing, etc

Venus is always a fun shot during the day. No doubt the crew at nav list will find errors, compared to you dudes, I am just a hack !!
