Had some nice breaks of sun today south of Lake Ontario and joined the quest for Venus in Daylight. Keying off Franks suggested use of stationary objects as visual aids, I used a variation that didn't involve the time lag. Consulting the NA, I found that Venus this afternoon was at an azimuth perpendicular to the ridge line of my roof and an elevation of 45 deg. Conveniently, I have a roof pitch of 12/12. I sighted along the edge of the roof and there she was!
