Thanks for the links, the last one was most interesting.
The MB-2A is so much easier than the CR-3, I wonder why several wrist-watch companies choose CR-3-like approach?
Have a look at, say, Hamilton's "Khaki X-Wind" - they could not even go further than the trivial WCA computation in their Instruction Manual - nobody is able to follow their "solution"". I met several discussions of that wrist-watch on several forums - everybody gives-up not being able even to obtain the 6.5° from the example problem. As it is - X-Wind is just a piece of bijouterie, but could be quite usabe (as a flight computer back-up) if proper scales were used - I mean - the MB-2A-like ones.
