The quadrantal correctors, (I assume that these are what you are referring to as "Kelvin's balls") correct for the horizontal component of induced magnetism. According to Bowditch, Article 732 (1962), there should be no change as long as the iron cargo is symetically arranged side-to-side which is likely with a cargo of ore pellets.
