Yes, I agree. It's too late for anything like that, and most UK organizations seem to be unlikely to pay, apart from minor expenses (local travel, as you say). That's why I mentioned the possibility of a "tutorial". Locals in the UK, if I can get to you in reasonable travel time with travel expenses covered in addition to my fee, I can do a one-on-one workshop in modern celestial navigation or historical celestial navigation or, dare I say it, lunars!
