Jim:
You have check the list mail AT LEAST once a day. Also all Bounce and Error messages will be sent to you to handle.
I have the Owners Manual for the webkahuna listserver version. The biggest problem id handling the subscribers that
don't read the "Welcome Message" and ask the List Owner to handle the subscriber problems for them. Also the people with
free mailboxes that fill up and generate bounce messages as does those that go on vacation and don't halt the messages to their mailbox.
The biggest problem is that you are tied to the computer unless you can get alternate owners.
I was a newby on the list when I took ownership just to keep it from dying. The founder went on a circumnavigation with his sailboat.

I've got experience in managing mailing lists (I was active in several anti-spam groups for a few years) - but since I'm the "new kid on the block" on this list and nobody knows who I am yet, I really don't think it would be appropriate for me to volunteer to take over ownership and operation. But I'll be more than happy to help whoever does take over if they need/want it. -- GregR --- Dan Hogan <dhhogan1@EARTHLINK.NET> wrote: > Due to personal reasons I find I do not have the time to spend > monitoring > the Nav-L list. > > So I am asking for someone to take over ownership and operation of > the > list.
