Good evening,
My name is David and I have a Watanabe sextant which I know nothing about. I spent many years at sea as a deck officer with British and Australian shipping companies as well as an uncomfortable time on Australian Army ships in the late 1960's. My original sextant was a Heath Hezzanith which I bought second hand after completing my Seconf Mates Certificate in 1970. I made the mistake of selling the Heath when I left the sea in 1985.
My question is, I hope, fairly simple; does anyone know anything about the Watanabe sextants? Engraved into the arc is the number 746889. It would appear that it was last corrected in October 1973.
Hopingone of your members can help,
Yours,
David Rogers
