Ah. One of those. The name on the face of it is such a tease! :) This spinning wheel solves about 1% of the computational tasks of celestial navigation, and it's the easy part. I'm sure someone else will fill you in with detailed instructions. You'll certainly learn something about celestial navigation by understanding the intended function of this device, but you'll also realize, after you have understood it, that you don't need it.
