Hello List, My Weems and Plath sextant has been determined to be a C+P. It has never been used, bought new in 1975, mint condition with wood case. It is for sale, interested collectors can email me for pictures before I list on eBay. Jim is looking for suitable hosting now; don't know whether he'll find you. At any rate, I believe the pics should convince you that this is a C+P.
