I observed the event by taking a few sun shots at lunch (with an artificial horizon - sea is still frozen over!). It has been a tradition of mine for quite a few years: taking sun shots at the solstices and solstices. If I get good accurate shots, then I view it as good luck until the next astronomical event. I guess you could call it "technologically-advanced paganism". ----- Original Message ----- From: Dan AllenDate: Monday, March 20, 2006 1:30 pm Subject: Welcome to Spring (or Fall) > The vernal equinox occurred a few minutes ago according to my > calculations (Mon 20 Mar 2006, 18:20:51 GMT), so it is now officially > Spring in the Northern hemisphere and Fall in the Southern hemisphere! > > Dan >
