I observed the event by taking a few sun shots at lunch (with an artificial
horizon - sea is still frozen over!). It has been a tradition of mine for
quite a few years: taking sun shots at the solstices and solstices. If I get
good accurate shots, then I view it as good luck until the next astronomical
event. I guess you could call it "technologically-advanced paganism".
