We have, over the years, discussed Ageton's HO 211 but we have never discussed his improved method that he published in 1942 as the "Manual of Celestial Navigation." I mentioned it once at this post to which I attached several excerpts.

I am now attaching his explanation of this method. I have also attached a page from Drisenstok for comparison with the previously posted page of table 1 from AAA's 1942 table one. You will see that Ageton's "B" is Dreisenstok's "A;" Ageton's "K" is the inverse of Dreisenstok's "b;" and "Z'" is "Z'."
Any thoughts how this compares with the other discussions of his method and the improvements invented by others on Navlist? How does it compare to other "short methods?" Why has this method disappeared in the mists of time?
