Sorry I didn't know you were running Linux or I might have been able to help. We (another member of USPS Offshore Navigation Committee and me) have gotten Celestial Tools (and all other Windows programs on the ONCom web site) to run on Mac OS X under Wine. We went through the same pains as you and provided detailed instructions on how to install Wine and get each of the programs to work under it. Made a lot of Mac users happy that they didn't have to buy a special program, or get a copy of Windows, or have a Windows license.
Now that you have Celestial Tools running under Wine, the Agetopn-Classic and hav-Doniol checkers should run fine.

I have read the various threads on this subject. Things became clear when I read that Classic-Ageton is the sin formula worked by a modified Ageton table and that Ageton-Bayless is the same method as Ageton but with compacted tables. I also noted reference to hav-Doniol which I will follow up.
I have also solved another problem that has bugged me for many years. I have been Windows free (Linux) for ten or fifteen years but have never been able to run Windows programs under Wine. I was keen to run CelestialTools and so decided to give Wine another go. Initially I did not have any success until I realised from an error message that CelestialTools is written in Visual Basic. I downloaded the dll listed in the error message and the program is now running.
There is still thick cloud outside so I will probably work some Classic-Ageton sights after lunch.
