Thanks So Much Everyone with all the help. I have used the advice of everyone that responded and narrowed to two sextants. The C Plath and an Astra IIIB. I was very tempted on the brand new top of the line Plath's (I always loved them) but my wife and I are self employed since getting hit by a truck 3 yrs ago have not been able to work till recently. Top of the line Plath is still high on the list as is the SNO-T when we can, as well as the Davis 3 for the go bag. I do need to find the proper mirror adjusting wrench for the C Plath and also the tool for the horizon shades ( If I can snug em' up a bit ). I'll get pictures as soon as I can get them on this computer (sounds lame but long story).

Bruce Cutting: Thank You for the tip on Bill Morris's book The Nautical Sextant. I searched C Plath today and his book came up with a link to NavList. I ordered it (as per your suggestion)  a few days ago on ebay. It looks like the perfect book !!! It hasn't arrived yet. I'll track again after this post. Can't wait. It even seems to have info on how to make the tool for the horizon shades if I cant find one. In the meantime I'll see if I can find Rig White. Thank You for the help there also.

Rig White: If you happen to see this and have either or both of the aforementioned tools. I would like to do business with you. Thank You
