I googled "parts of a book" but did not get what I wanted. Therefore I will  try to avoid naming parts of the books.

    ADMN 1938

Volume 1  "The Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty have decided that a new Admiralty Navigation Manual is required."  Admiralty S.W.1   October 1937.

    Printed 1939. Reprinted 1944.

Preface - The Admiralty Navigation Manual,1938, consists of three volumes.

    I think the following is called the colophon -13/7/43 (784) 1189 - 15m 4/45 W.C. & S. Ltd  Gp 389  T.S. 1541

                                                                                                                                           S.O.  Code No.  20-67-1-42*

    Volume II

"The Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty have decided that a new Admiralty Navigation Manual is required."  Admiralty S.W.1   October 1937.

    Printed 1939. Reprinted 1941.

Preface - The Admiralty Navigation Manual,1938, consists of three volumes.

    I think the following is called the colophon - (749) Wt. 2909....   2,500 10/41 W.C. & S. Ltd  Gp 389  T.S. 1294

                                                                                                                                          20-67-2-38

    Volume III

"The Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty have decided that a new Admiralty Navigation Manual is required."  Admiralty S. W .1   October 1937.

    Printed 1940. Reprinted 1945.

Preface - The Admiralty Navigation Manual,1938, consists of three volumes.

    I think the following is called the colophon -  28/12/39  (787) Wt. 3769....   3,500 7/45 W.C. & S. Ltd  Gp 389  T.S. 1831

                                                                                                                                          S.O.  Code No.  20-67-3-37*

W.C. & S. Ltd is Willian Clowes & Sons Ltd London and Beccles

I cannot believe that 15 million copies (or even 15,000)   of vol I were printed in 4/45. However 2,500 copies in 10/41 of vol II and 3,500 copies of vol III in 7/45 seems reasonable.

FWIIW  1938 is the only edition for which I have been able to  obtain all three volumes. Of course maybe I have not searched hard enough.........
