I don?t know what brand you are looking for but I would have thought that a
used German made instrument would be least expensive in Germany. Particularly
a C Plath or Cassens & Plath of some type in a shop in Bremerhaven that has
used equipment. I dealt with one such shop and for the life of me can?t
remember its name this morning. Maybe a company like Seekarte in Bremen can
give you a lead. But of course you are there and I have not been for some
time now so I have no idea what?s happening with price. It just surprises me
that Germany is not the place to buy a German sextant.
Enjoy you trip and good luck with the search,
    Robert Gainer

PS. What does C&P get for their artificial horizon in Germany? In the United
States it is very expensive, more then I paid for my C&P.
