My apologies for the poor quality of the images. I made a spur of the moment decision to stand on a chair and photograph them with my phone.
Today we visited a cafe/pottery that my wife likes to visit every few months. The pottery is dotted with items of old hardware, mostly rusting away outside. Inside on a window ledge is a cylindrical slide rule. It has been there for many years, ever since my wife discovered the pottery. Early on I decided that it is not a Bygrave so lost interest in it. Today I decided that I should determine if it has any navigational value so took the photos.
I did not take it off the window ledge and examine for maker's info or take sharply focussed phots (I know, a big mistake). On one end of the inner tube is what appears to be a table of distances. At the other end I saw some square root signs.
So, should I rush up there tomorrow with an open cheque book; wait until we go back in a few months and make an offer of a few tens of dollars; or forget about it?
