Where in the World is SV San Diego?
    From: Joshua Carty
    Date: 2026 Jul 28, 09:59 -0700

Sailing on my billionaire friend's yacht "San Diego" this summer. Now at anchor at a location connected with US history. I am near the equator on a calm, QUIET ocean. That's what it says on the chart!!!

At 01:17:01 on July 28, 2026 (UTC time and date), I shoot the Sun. I missed LAN. it's now afternoon, and I'm looking northwest through broken clouds.
    Hs 70 52.8'
    ht eye 10 feet
    IE 90.5' on the arc

YES, I mean that... index error more than a degree and a half , based on a suggesstion from Frank during a tutorial yesterday.
Why such a big IE? Because it's NOT MY SEXTANT!!!

    At 02:51:02 Sun again
    Hs 53 34.3'

Where am I? You can probably guess quickly. GO AHEAD AND DO SO THIS TIME.
The REAL PUZZLE: What is the 0300 fix to the nearest half a mile?

    Josh
