I spotted an interesting sky photo a few minutes ago. So suppose your longitude is near 165°E, and you see the sky looking like this. Where are you? The stars, and your celestial navigation skills, will give you an approximate latitude.
Before you say, "That's just a hopless blur of stars! Impossible, unsolvable!" ...give it a minute. Yes, the exposure promotes a lot of faint stars in a way that can be confusing. But give it a minute... Take your time, and see if you can find the key bright stars that make this solvable. :)
