Actually I found this on a Google Search for the exact search phrase "Gnomonic projection of the North Atlantic"
No link but this blurb:

It's a San Diego Univ site with the pdf as described above, I have saved the pdf file on my machine and if you email me directly or privately (rommeljmiller (at) comcast (dot) net) I will send you the file.
But if you just do the google search for the exact phrase you used to describe the projection, such as in cutting and pasting it directly into the search phrase bar, you find this is the 2nd or 3rd hit.
