Nothing new to see here. Just Ric Gillespie drumming up more publicity for a piece of metal proven beyond a reasonable doubt over and over again to not have come from Earhearts plane. Ric is married to his hypothosis and it's how he makes his living. It's based on incorrect understanding's of celnav, aviation and some really sketchy earwitness acounts. Gary could elaborate more but you can just check out his freddienoonan website. Ric's forum is subscription only so it's just an echo chamber of TIGHAR nonsense except for Gary's posts. I've never in my life heard an pilot say then when they are lost and low on fuel the smart thing to do is fly hundreds of miles out of your way to try and find a random island. "Catchers mitt" or not.
