The Academia de Marinha in Lisboa, the scientific institute of the Portuguese Navy, has celebrated the first crossing by Gago Coutinho on several occasions. See Vídeo da Sessão Cultural: https://youtube/pRwjFZVGbj8.
In addition it has published a book by José Malhao Pereira - former skipper of the Portuguese sail training ship "Sagres" and notable historian of navigation (probably the only maritime historian alive able to command a tall ship these days) - about Coutinho (who himself was not only an accomplished aviator and mariner but also the author of several texts on the history of navigation) that can be found on the Academia page: https://academia.marinha.pt/pt/edicoes/EdicoesDiversas/Livro%20Gago%20Coutinho%20a%20Navegac%CC%A7a%CC%83o%20Ae%CC%81rea.pdf.
And the Museu de Marinha has been redone in recent years and is well worth a visit, not the least for its superb collection of mariner's astrolabes.l
