Group projects sound like a good idea to me. The Bygrave in all its varieties as well as advice on bying a sextant, CN by photography, are group projects already. Help on bying a sextant is actually a good example: Many have given their advice and experience, but it remains scattered in lots of individual emails. A novice seeking advice and maybe evan not familiar with the NavList will hardly find it unless he is digging in the archives for a long time. Same with our repeated discussions of similar topics. The members with good computer skills post links on all the old mails that relate to the actual issue... Would it be an idea to set up a wiki that contains all the information considered to be of lasting relevance? The software DokuWiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DokuWiki allows to assign editing rights to registered users only while offering the wiki contents on the web. One could use emailaddresses as usernames and posting codes as passwords- both are available. It would be a NavList wiki, we could freely enjoy our discussions on the list and finally compile and store the relevant outcome in the wiki. If we agree to disagree, we will surely find ways to accomodate both views ;o) Wolfgang Am Samstag, 9.
