I’ve put in a bid for a cheap ex-DDR one to experiment with. DaveP
Well, I've got myself a theodolite to play with. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/theodolite-/121937242301?nma=true&si=cO9SJBmvagDnczXECk10z%252FiEIi0%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 I's only an inexpensive one, but it's a start. I've always envied those chaps you see set up at the side of the road with an assistant several yards away with one of those giant red and white slide rules. I really bought it for the tripod. Quite often, the better theodolites you see advertised come without one, and this tripod looks pretty good. I hope there's a standard attachment thread. DaveP
