That’s truly amazing. Thank you Bill and N Drummond for going to all that trouble. I had no idea theodolites were so accurate. I’ve never had the opportunity to look through one. The best I ever managed was a Watts Datum Compass for swinging Vulcans. Now I can’t wait to try a theodolite. I see there’s a Wild T4 on eBay at the moment for $38,500. That’s a bit expensive for me, so I’ve put in a bid for a cheap ex-DDR one to experiment with. DaveP
