Re: Will anyone ever find Shackleton's lost ship?

"The UK news outlets are full of Endurance22 today, probably from the same press release."

Good to see they're about to begin. Here's their website with a link to tracking: https://endurance22.org/. Last year they paid me a nice sum to explain the paper by Robin Stuart and Lars Bergman to them and also to provide my own best estimate of the position based on the available data. We'll see how it turns out... I have no doubt that some expedition will, in fact, find the crushed wreck of Endurance. There have been great advances in robotic AUVs. If someone can find (or more specifically "fund") a power source that can work under the ice for months on end, then it's guaranteed. Missions limited by surface ship requirements may be successful first, but drones always win the war in the 21st century :).
