Thanks for your interest and suggestion. I can't claim to be an expert but I think it unlikely that the proper motion of isolated stars changes enough over the course of 100 years that it would make a significant difference for us. This is not the case for A Ophiuchi which is a binary system and if I remember correctly has a period of around 400 years. This was taken into account in our analysis and is discussed in the paper,
